Teenage leggies have batsmen in a spin, 100 half centuries for Ufford Park star, young Nassington side impress, plus all the top individual performances in the PT merit table

Last Saturday 15 year-old Rohan Kundaje bagged 6-13 as Peterborough Town seconds beat Rothwell by the huge margin of 189 runs in Northants Division Two.

And 24 hours later 13 year-old Divyesh Vaseeharan claimed 6-16 as Orton Park secured a convincing Rutland Division Four win over Benefield.

Kundaje’s brilliance enabled Town to seal victory just before heavy rain fell at Bretton Gate. Town’s own 248-6 arrived thanks to steady all-round batting and some late fireworks from Nadir Haider (50no) and Danny Iqbal (48 no).

Orton Park won their game by nine wickets with Kester Sainsbury, Tom Wilkin and Cam Harris also making decent contributions.

Ufford Park opener Andy Larkin has been a strong fixture on the local scene for a long time and he recorded two half centuries at the weekend to make it 100 scores of 50 or more for the club.

Larkin cracked 59 in an abandoned Cambs League match at Orton Park and 51 in a Rutland Division Two defeat at Whittlesey. Henry Stephenson struck 80 at Orton while Fardan Satari made 75 for Whittlesey.

In the Hunts Sunday Division Nassington seconds were thrilled with the performance of their young side in a five-wicket win over Ely. Dylan Hooper took 5-7 .

Only century maker on the local scene last weekend waas Hayden Bream who cracked 112 in a Rutland win over East Carlton.
