PT SPORTS AWARDS: Unsung hero: Natalie’s dedication to Orton Park CC is recognised
Winner Natalie Durham is the very definition of an unsung hero.
Every summer weekend she returns to Peterborough to coach at Orton Park CC, captain the ladies team and play for the mens’ team when required.
And if Natalie isn’t playing she will be found scoring.
Runners-up husband and wife management team Steve & Carol Eason have jointly been a breath of fresh air at Langtoft United Juniors FC, bringing great knowledge and enthusiasm, helping to inspire coaches and players alike and were worthy nominees.
Similarly Roy Thickpenny is a legend on the local athletics scene. The pole vault specialist has been involved in the sport for more than half a century.
