Local cricket stunned by the passing of popular player kasim Ikhlaq
Local cricket has been stunned by the sudden death of popular player Kasim, also known as Qasim, Ikhlaq at the age of 30.
Kasim played for Orton Park CC as a junior while attending the Thomas Deacon Academy before representing leading local clubs Nassington, Ramsey and most recently Barnack.

Kasim was a crafty spin bowler and aggressive batsman. He passed away today (July 9).
“We are all shocked,” Barnack captain Mohammed Yaseen said. “Kasim was a very good player, but also a lovely guy. No-one would have a bad word to say about him. It’s a very sad day for Barnack CC in particular and for the local cricket community in general.”
