Knights charge to an incredible win against their old clubmates, top sides in top form in Hunts and Rutland Leagues
Peterborough Knights recorded an incredible one-wicket win against their old clubmates from Falcon in a Hunts Division One fixture.
The Knights previously played as the Falcon second team, but broke away to see how far they could climb as a senior side. The teams are now rivals in the top flight, but Falcon had won the previous three clashes.

And win number four looked likely when the Knights were reduced to 160-9 in in pursuit of 233-9, but last pair Ameir Hassan (45no) and Abdul Rahim (34no) added 77 for the final wicket to pinch an unlikely win. Haroon Rehman had earlier struck 72, while Haroon Rafique had made 93 for Falcon.
The Knights have now moved a place above Falcon into fifth.

In Division Two struggling Bretton suffered a batting onslaught from opener Anosh Bhosale of Blunham seconds who smacked 206 not out (144 balls, 32 4s, 46s) in a team total of 342-2 in 45 overs. Bretton mustered 169 in reply.
Sawtry & Alconbury Weald are 30 points clear at the top after a bruising 181-run win over Houghton Wyton. Michael Kay (77no) top scored while Lucas Marshall (52no & 3-12) enjoyed an excellent all-round day.
Top two Barnack seconds and Peterborough Town thirds both won in Division Three. Husnain Tariq hit 108 in Barnack’s 137-run win over Werrington seconds, while Adil Khan compiled 76 in Town’s 24 run win at Brampton.
The top two in Rutland Division One were also victorious. George Woods (68) and Sam Malton (54no) helped leaders Newborough secure a six-wicket win over Uppingham after they’d fallen to 37-3 chasing 153, while Danny Malik (121) and Muhammed Tayyib (81) added 175 for the second wicket as City CC set up a 171-run win at Burghley Park by amassing 393-8.
Whittlesey picked up just a second win of the season in Division Three, by nine wickets at Benefield. Clive Evans (68no & 2-28), David Drage (64no) and James Jackson (4-20) did the bulk of the work.
Dinesh Kumar hammered 136 in Adidda’s 192-run win at Stamford Town and Muhammad Israr bashed 108 for Nassington in a losing cause in a Division Four clash with Irthlingborough.
