King’s Keys surged to the top of Division One after a 175-run thrashing of Oundle.

Keys, who piled up 350 in their 40 overs, moved above unbeaten Peterborough Town who were without a game. Rain ruined Market Deeping’s chances of also overhauling Town. Josh Smith and Connor Gillett had both cracked half centuries in 227-5 and Uffington were 15-1 in reply when the rains came.

Charlie Fytche (51) claimed the first senior half century of his career and Ben Potter (53no) continued his run-laden summer as Nassington picked up a first Hunts Division One win of the summer at Stamford Town.

And Jack Haynes (57) claimed his first half century in senior cricket for Nassington seconds in an abandoned Hunts Sunday League game against Houghton and Wyton.

Burghley Park crushed Hampton by eight wickets in the battle of two unbeaten Hunts Division One sides. Alex Ashwin was the star of the show for table-topping Park bagging 6-16 as Hampton were dismissed for just 72.

Justin Marchant (74), Joe Mills (68no) and Matthew Mills (61) all scored well as Newborough Bulls seconds piled up 323-7 in 40 overs to set up a 274-run win over Uffington to stay top of South Lincs Division Two West. In the same division Orton Park seconds claimed their first win of the by thrashing Grantham thirds by 179 runs. Jon Chell (94), Nick Bradbury (51) were the batsmen in form.

Newborough first team are still top of Division One West despite a first defeat of the season by 33 runs at Bourne seconds. Jon Howard struck 66 for Bourne.

Dan Oldfield cracked 94 not out for Long Sutton in a six-wicket South Lincs Division One win over Freiston and 71 in a 21-run win over Weldon in Rutland Division Three. Raj Sangha struck 64 against Weldon.

Zahid Mahmood smacked 92 as Werrington seconds upset the formbook with a 13 -run over Peterborough Town seconds in Division Four East. It was a first win of the season for Werrington and the first loss for Town, but just six points cover the top five teams in the section. Josh Weaver struck 55 for Castor in their seven-wicket Division Three win at Ketton Sports. Matt Bird had contibuted 77 of Ketton’s 173.
