Great Gadsby steers Hunts to victory, Bretton milestone for Bennett

Long-serving Cambridgeshire captain and legendary opening batsman Nigel Gadsby turned out for Hunts against Suffolk at Bury St Edmunds and cracked a brilliant 148 not out in a nine-wicket success.

Gadsby and skipper Nick Andrews (52no) steered Hunts past Suffolk’s imposing 40-over score of 264-4

Andy Bennett passed 9000 runs for the club during an innings of 100 in an eight-wicket friendly win over Motley Crew. Bennett put on 189 for the second wicket with Ryan Hyman (106no).
