Charity cricket tournament at Barnack CC was a resounding success with local 'Ladz' just pipped in the final
The second annual Barnack eight-a-side charity cricket tournament was a resounding success.
Six local teams were joined by two travelling teams from Luton and London, with matches played across two venues Barnack CC and Woodlands.

The semi-finals and final were hosted at Barnack with all group-stage matches played over five overs and the semi-finals and final extended to seven overs.
Local side ‘The Ladz’ continued their impressive form by reaching the final for the second consecutive year after defeating Kashmir Eleven in a thrilling semi-final. Luton CC secured their place in the final by overcoming Parkhazad in the other semi-final.
In the final, ‘The Ladz’ posted an excellent total of 83 runs from seven overs, but Luton CC successfully reached the target in the final over to retain their title and become back-to-back champions.
Tournament organiser Zeeshan Manzoor, a Peterborough Town player, said: “The tournament was about far more than just cricket. The event was organised to bring the local cricket community together while raising money for local charities, with all proceeds being donated to worthy causes. The day was played in a fantastic spirit, with competitive cricket, great sportsmanship, and excellent support from players, volunteers, sponsors, and spectators.
“We look forward to welcoming everyone back for the third annual B arnack charity cricket tournament next year.”
