BOWLS: Brett cruises through the first round
Nicky Brett was a comfortable winner in his first round match at the Just retirement World Indoor Championships last night (January 18)
The world No 1 from Yaxley met James Rippey at the Potters Holiday Resort in Hopton-on-Sea and proved far too strong for the qualifier, who was making his first appearance on the famous blue carpet.
Brett won it 12-3, 8-4 and will now meet Les Gillett in the next round on Thursday.
