Alan Lemmon will be sorely missed

I received the sad news early last week that Alan Lemmon had died suddenly and like many others was completely taken aback.

Alan Lemmon.

I have known Alan for many, many years fishing against him on a regular basis on venues right across the area, yet he was still only in his late 40s.

He was a stalwart of the Sensas Mark One side and often put in match-winning performances in club and individual events around the country.

His finest hour was probably winning an NFA national on the Shropshire Union Canal. He was just a very nice man. You would never hear him complain about bad pegs, poor venues or poor draws. He just got on with the job and invariably came up trumps.

Tributes have been written on the social media pages from the hundreds of anglers that have met him.

We often say on these sad occasions that people will be sorely missed. I can assure you Alan will be remembered and indeed missed by all who knew him for a very long time.
