There is also currently no indication that the film will be made available to watch on streaming service, Disney+.

A Disney spokesperson told Deadline, “Over the last few months, it’s become clear that nothing can be set in stone when it comes to how we release films during this global health crisis, and today that means pausing our release plans for Mulan as we assess how we can most effectively bring this film to audiences around the world.”

Disney has also pushed the untitled Star Wars trilogy movies back by a year each, with the release date of the first film - reportedly to be directed by New Zealand born Taika Waititi - moving from 16 December 2022 to 22 December 2023.
