Woman is critical condition as man is charged with attempted murder
A man has been charged with attempted murder following a serious assault which has left a woman in a critical condition in hospital.
Police were called by the ambulance service at just after 8am on Monday (July 11) to the property in Willingham Road in Over.
The victim, who is in her 60s, had suffered severe head injuries and was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital where she remains in a critical but stable condition.
The assault is being treated as an isolated incident.
Paul Bond, 61, of Willingham Road, Over, has been remanded in custody to appear at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning.
