Yellow wind warning for Peterborough on Boxing Day

Strong winds are expected to hit Peterborough on Boxing Day, with the Met Office issuing a yellow weather warning.

The warning is in place for much of England, and comes into force at 3pm on Boxing Day (Saturday) and lasts until noon the following day.

The warning says; "Very windy weather is expected for parts of England, Wales and the far south of Scotland, leading to disruption to transport and utilities.

"Some damage to buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs, could happen"
