Yellow weather warning for ice in Peterborough overnight

The Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning for Peterborough from tonight until tomorrow (Saturday) morning, with icy conditions expected.

The warning is in place from 9pm until 10am.

The warning says: "Icy patches are expected to form overnight.

"What to expect

Snow has been falling in Peterborough today

"Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces

"Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths"

Pedestrians, cyclists and motorists are advised to take extra care in the slippery conditions.

A yellow weather warning for snow and rain was issued earlier today, and sleet and snow has been falling in Peterborough for much of the day - although the snow has not settled.
