Will Peterborough see any snow this week?

Reports this week have suggested Peterborough could be given an early December sprinkling of snow as wintry weather arrives in the UK.

However, while there is a chance of snowfall in the city, Trevor Robbins-Pratt, from Peterborough Weather Watch, said it was unlikely.
Trevor said: “There is a small area of Low Pressure that looks like developing south east of England late on Thursday and is progged to ‘spiral’ North up along the East Coast early hours Friday.
“This will bring some rain to the Peterborough area. There is a suggestion from some model products that this could deliver some wet snowflakes.
“These features have in the past caught many a forecaster out and we end up with egg on our face.
“However, my own take on this is that if there is any wet snow, it would be most likely be across the very highest of ground across Northamptonshire, rather than the flatlands of Peterborough.”
