Strong winds forecast for Peterborough as weather warning put in place

Strong winds are forecast to hit Peterborough later this week, with The Met Office issuing a yellow weather warning.

The warning, which covers all of Engalnd and Wales, is in place between 9pm on Wednesday and 3pm on Thursday.

The Met office said: "Strong winds accompanied by heavy and blustery showers may bring some disruption to England and Wales.

The warning is in place on Wednesday and Thursday

"Delays for high-sided vehicles on exposed routes and bridges likely.

"Some short term loss of power and other services is possible.

"Some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport are likely.

"Probably some bus and train services affected, with some journeys taking longer."
