Snow could be on the way to Peterborough as the Met Office have issued a weather warning for the city.

While there were some light flurries yesterday, the city avoided the heavy snow fall seen elsewhere in the country.

However, from 3am until 8pm tomorrow, a yellow weather warning is in place, with snow forecast.

The warning says: " A band of heavy snow may bring disruption as it moves eastwards on Saturday.

"What to expect:

"Possible delays or cancellations to rail and air travel.

"Possible travel delays on roads stranding some vehicles and passengers.

"Some rural communities could become cut off.

"Power cuts may occur and other services, such as mobile phone coverage, may be affected."
