Ice warning issued for Peterborough on Christmas Eve night

Santa will have to take extra care on his rounds in Peterborough tonight after the Met Office issued a warning of ice tonight.

The yellow warning will be in place from 11pm tonight (Christmas Eve) until 10am tomorrow (Christmas Day.)

The warning says: "Icy patches will lead to some difficult driving conditions.

"What to expect

"Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces

"Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths."

Yellow weather warnings are also in place for Peterborough from 3pm on Boxing Day until noon on Sunday, with strong winds expected to hit the city.
