Freezing temperatures set to remain as snow arrives in Peterborough for the first time in 2026

Freezing temperatures are set to remain into Tuesday morning (January 6).

Residents across Peterborough woke up on Monday morning to temperatures as low as -6 and a thin layer of snow on the ground.

Life largely was able to continue as normal as the city missed the worst of the conditions.

There remains a yellow weather warning in place for snow and ice into Tuesday but the closest this extends to Peterborough is Wisbech.
