Water leak in centre of Peterborough to be fixed this week
Anglian Water have confirmed that they plan to fix a water leak in Peterborough city centre this week.
Residents noticed towards the end of last week that one of the drains close to the pedestrian crossing on Bridge Street, appeared to be leaking water and creating puddles in the road.
The section of the A15 is known to flood frequently along Bourges Boulevard but these puddles are unusual given the lack of significant rainfall over the weekend period.
Anglian Water are aware of the problem and have identified a minor leak, which they plan to fix overnight on Wednesday (March 10).
A spokesperson for Anglian Water said: “Our teams are aware of a minor leak on Bridge Street and will be completing an overnight repair on Wednesday in order to minimise disruption.
“The road is expected to be back to normal by Thursday morning.”
