UPDATE: Two separate crashes blocking A605 near Peterborough

Police were called to the first collision involving two cars at 7.27am this morning, Tuesday January 12, close to the roads junction with the B671 at Elton near Peterborough.

While dealing with this incident, officers were called at 7.38am to a second four-vehicle crash near Peterborough services just a mile or two further along the road.

Police are on the scene directing traffic and recovery vehicles have been called but there are long delays between Elton and Peterborough in both directions.

The ambulance service were called to both collisions but details of injuries to those involved are unavailable at this time.

Motorists are advised to find an alternative route.
