Road closure at Peterborough’s Rhubarb Bridge due to ongoing works

From 8pm to 6am there will be a closure on the north side of the A47/A15 roundabout by Brotherhood Shopping Park to “enable the barrier arrangement to be altered,” Peterborough City Council said.

During this time a diversion route will be in place, the authority added.

The ongoing works, which have caused disruption to motorists, are seeing Rhubarb Bridge being repaired, while pedestrian crossings are being installed at the busy slip roads at the roundabout and an extra lane of traffic put in.

The scheme has been ongoing since January 2019 with a two month break over the Christmas period, resulting in lengthy delays for motorists.

The works are now expected to finish at the end of March after being pushed back.
