Oundle Road closed off in Orton - with works set to last days

Oundle Road has been closed off in Orton to allow emergency works to take place – and the closure is set to last three or four DAYS.

UK Power Networks are carrying out the works, near the two mini roundabouts that lead to the Nene Parkway sliproads.

The road is closed in both directions on the Orton Hall side of the two roundabouts.

A spokesperson for UK Power Networks said: “Our engineers are today (April 8) making emergency repairs to an underground cable in Oundle Road, Peterborough.

“When the repairs are completed the road will need to be resurfaced and settle before roadworks are removed.”
