New speed limits in Peterborough proposed

The following alterations have been put forward:

. Revoke the national speed limit on Mowbray Road, Bretton, from the roundabout at the junction with Bretton Way for a distance of 320m in a north-westerly direction, such that it becomes a restricted road and subject to 30mph by virtue of street lighting.

. Relocate the commencement of the 30mph speed limit on Main Road, Etton, to a point 45m north of its junction with the B1443 Glinton Road.

. Extend the 30mph speed limit along Tallington Road from a point 354m north of the B1443 to a point 80m north of the level crossing.

. Introduce a speed limit of 30mph along Main Road, Upton, from a point 77m west of its junction with Church Walk to a point 140m south of its junction with Church Walk.

. Introduce a 30mph speed limit on Church Walk, Upton, for its full length.

. Introduce a 40mph speed limit on Guntons Road, Newborough, from a point 80m south of its junction with Bridgehill Road

. Extend the existing 20mph speed limit on Peterborough Road, Castor, from a point 76m east of its junction with Water Lane to a point 85m east of its junction with Mill Lane.

. Revoke the existing 40mph speed limit along Thorpe Road from its junction with Thorpe Wood to a point 105m west of its junction with Holywell Way, such that it becomes a restricted road and subject to a speed limit of 30mph by virtue of street lighting.

. Introduce a 20mph speed limit on all roads within Hampton Beach, Hampton Gardens, Hampton Water and Hampton Woods, as contained by the following points at each of the junctions with London Road (A15): Waterhouse Way, Hartland Avenue and Aqua Drive.

. Introduce a 20mph speed limit on the following roads within Hempsted: Drake Avenue, Saxonbury Way and all roads accessed from them via their junctions with London Road (A15); Cook Avenue, Hicks Lane, Everest Way and all roads accessed from them via their junctions with London Road (A15); Phorpres Houses and The Ashes.
