UPDATE: A47 at Eye re-opens after horse box crashed into ditch
The A47 has re-opened after a collision that saw a horse box crash into a ditch.
The incident happened on the A47 near the Eye Green/McDonalds Roundabout, and saw the road closed.
It is thought there was a horse in the horse box – but there is no news on the animal’s condition.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: “We were called at about 2.40pm today with reports a horse trailer had come detached from its vehicle and gone into a ditch on Crowland Road, near the McDonald’s roundabout.”
The road re-opened shortly after 4.30pm.
