Lincoln Road closed in Peterborough after crash - air ambulance at scene

Police said the road is closed between the Rhubarb Bridge and Mountsteven Avenue roundabouts.

The Magpas air ambulance was at the scene.

Motorists are being told to use alternative routes for essential travel.

A police spokeswoman said: “We were called at 7.54am today to reports of a collision on Lincoln Road, Peterborough.

“The collision involved one vehicle which had collided with a road sign.

“Officers attended the scene together with firefighters, paramedics and the Magpas air ambulance. One man has been taken to hospital but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. One woman suffered minor injuries.

“As a result the road is currently closed while the incident is dealt with and the car is recovered.”
