Flamingos cause delays on Peterborough parkway
There were unusual delays on Peterborough’s parkways today - caused by a flock of pink flamingos.
Traffic officers had to slow drivers down on the Frank Perkins Parkway at 10.30am this morning because of the obstruction in the road.
Thankfully the birds were of the small, plastic variety - but the box was causing an danger in the outside lane of the parkway.
Officers were able to safely pick up the box and allow traffic to return to its normal flow.
