A1 lane closure by Peterborough after car crashes into central reservation

A lane has been closed on the A1 southbound after a car crashed into the central reservation.

Police are at Water Newton with traffic heading back towards Wansford.

A police spokeswoman said: “We were called at 8.45am today to reports of a car colliding with the central reservation on the southbound carriageway of the A1 at Water Newton.

“Those inside the car were not injured.

“Officers are currently on scene, assisting with traffic management and recovery of the car.”
