50mph speed limit in place on A47 in Peterborough and laybys closed for resurfacing works

A temporary speed limit of 50mph is on place on a section of the A47 in Peterborough as a major programme of works is carried out.

Works have begun this week on the A47 from the Sutton roundabout to junction 16 at the Bretton Gate interchange.

These will see a speed limit of 50mph imposed for 24 hours a day as well as the closure of all of the lay-bys on the eastbound carriageway.

The works are expected to take place over approximately 14 weeks with work being carried out between Monday and Friday, 8pm-6am.
