Teenage biker critically ill following Dogsthorpe collision

A teenage motorcyclist is in hospital fighting for his life after he was involved in a collision in Peterborough yesterday evening (Wednesday).

The 17-year-old was involved in the crash with a car on Eastern Avenue, Dogsthorpe at about 4pm.

Today, a Cambridgeshire police spokesman said: “The 17-year-old boy who was riding the motorcycle was placed in an induced coma at the scene and airlifted to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge where he remains in a critical condition.”

The police spokesman also confirmed the youth was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact them on 101.
