Serious crash shuts B1040 between Whittlesey and Pondersbridge

A serious crash has closed the B1040 near Peterborough this morning, Tuesday August 1.

The road is closed in both directions between Whittlesey and Pondersbridge and may remain so for some time.

Two cars were involved in the crash between B1095 Ramsey Road and Briggate West.

Police have closed the road since around 05:30. It is likely to be closed for most of the day.

Motorists are advised to find alternative routes.

Police and ambulance are on scene.
