Man remains in hospital a week after Northborough crash involving stolen car

A man remains in hospital more than a week after a serious collision involving a suspected stolen car in Northborough.

The crash shut the B1162 Deeping St James Road at Northborough on Thursday March 2. The collision took place close to the A15 junction just before 8am.

The crash involved a Ford Focus and a Vauxhall Astra. The Focus is suspected to have been stolen in Werrington the previous evening.

Firefighters from Dogsthorpe and Market Deeping used specialist cutting equipment to release two male casualties from the cars.

The two men were taken to hospital.

No arrests have yet been made as the driver of the Ford Focus remains in Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge more than a week on as he suffered serious, life-changing injuries.
