Police are heading to the road near Bretts Transport and are urging motorists to approach with care.
Cambridgeshire police tweeted: "A47 - Thorney Road near Ken Thomas / Bretts Transport Ltd. We have had a report that a man hole has collapsed. Please approach with care, we are sending officers to look into it."
