Stamford fire crews attend '˜cooking fume' calls

Fire crews in Stamford and Market Deeping attended two blaring fire alarms this afternoon (Sunday February 7), but both turned out to be caused by cooking fumes.

At 12.56pm, a fire crew from Stamford attended some flats in Harvey Close, Wittering, and half an hour later fire crews from Stamford and Market Deeping attended some flats in Skaters Way, Werrington.

On both occasions there was no fire, but the alarm had been sounded by cooking fumes.
