SPALDING MURDER SUICIDE: Tributes to '˜amazing, friendly, brilliant ladies'

Father-of-three Lance Hart (57) opened fire on wife Claire (50) and their 19-year-old daughter Charlotte at around 9am on Tuesday, before turning the gun on himself.

As the news spread around the town, tributes poured in from Charlotte and Claire’s close friends.

A family friend, who grew up with the Hart children, said a community had lost “two of the most amazing, friendly and brilliant ladies”.

Matt Haynes (24) said: “The family moved into the street where we lived and we instantly became friends with them and grew up with them.

“This just shouldn’t have happened to these people and they didn’t deserve it as they were some of the nicest people.

“All I know is they were a really amazing family and they always had a smile on their face.”

Mr Haynes also said he didn’t know much about Lance and added: “He pretty much kept himself to himself, it wasn’t in a weird way, we just didn’t see him as much.”

Friends of midwifery student Charlotte described her as a selfless young woman ‘whose future was as bright as her smile’.

Heartfelt tributes and flowers have since been left at the four bed detached Hart family home in Moulton, which had recently been sold.

A message from the Wollen family reads: “May your beautiful souls rest in peace.”

Another reads: “Rest in peace Charlotte and Claire.

“Kind and lovely people who will be missed deeply.

“Love you always, Lauren, Josh, Mel, Tony, Phil and everybody else who had the pleasure of knowing you.”

One says: “Claire and Charlotte, two beautiful lives taken too early.

“Sleep peacefully you lovely girls.”

One simply reads: “God Bless”

The home was raided by police following the shooting and they remained at the scene throughout the day.
