Roadside tributes left to Peterborough teenager killed in collision

Tributes have been left at the roadside on the site where teenager Cain Martin (19) was killed on Saturday (November 21).

The collision, between Cain’s BMW and a black Toyota Hilux, took place along the B1167 New Cut, Thorney at 11:20am.

Cain sadly passed away at the scene and a Police spokesperson yesterday (November 25) confirmed that the male driver and female passenger in the Toyota remain in a critical condition in hospital.

Tributes first appeared along the road on Sunday and have since grown to include flowers, bottles of beer and a board where friends and relatives can write their own messages to Cain.

Since the accident, Cain’s father, Ernie, has issued an emotional plea to drivers of all ages to drive safely.
