One lane is closed due to the roadworks at the A1 Great North Road southbound at Wansford before the A6118 Old North Road.
Traffic is queuing all the way past Stamford.
Moreover, Lincolnshire Police is reporting there has been a crash at the A1 southbound at Little Ponton.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area.
The A1 is also closed northbound by the A52 at Barrowby due to an overturned HGV.
