Ramp to access Bridge Street to shut for improvement works

The access ramp which connects St Peter's Road at the back of the Town Hall with St Peter's Arcade and Bridge Street will be closed from Monday, July 4 for a maximum of five days to allow improvement works to take place.

These works will include the installation of a new non-slip surface and hand rails.

Signs will be in place for the duration of the works to inform people of the ramp closure and the diversion, which is the walkway between St Peter’s Road and Bridge Street, which is adjacent to Bourges Boulevard.

A Peterborough City Council spokeswoman said: “We hope that the works will not cause an inconvenience. The new ramp should be easier and safer for people to use once the works have been completed.”
