Several large developments are planned for the area - including the new Peterborough university (ARU Peterborough) and a new stadium for Peterborough United - although civic leaders have promised that there will be plenty of land left for events such as the popular beer festival.

“I am told the masterplan for the whole area which will be put out to public consultation. Myself and other Lib Dem councillors will be fighting hard to keep as much of the green area as we possibly can.”
