The face of the city is set to change with a number of developments both due to start and well underway.
The Peterborough Telegraph brings you an update on each of them and the current progress and expected completion dates.
See below.

5. Station Quarter
The construction of Peterborough’s Station Quarter regeneration will get underway this autumn after the £65 million project secured the go ahead from the Government. Officials have just approved the Full Business Case for the development that will start with the City Link phase creating a new access from the train station to Cowgate. The go ahead unlocks £47.8 million of Government funds that have been earmarked for the development. Work on this first phase will begin late autumn. Photo: PT

6. Old passport office
New plans have been unveiled to convert Peterborough’s former Passport Office into 126 high quality apartments have been approved. The proposals involve transforming the four storey building at Aragon Court into 95 one -bedroom flats and 31 two-bedroom flats. There is no timeline on the development as yet. Photo: PT

7. East of England Showground
Outline plans for 850 homes, a leisure village, hotel, school and care village on part of the Showground have been approved but set a six months deadline for the section 106 agreement to be put in place. A second outline application for 650 homes on an adjoining part of the site was approved in January. East of England Showground promoter AEPG has been granted extra time to meet planners’ demands around proposals as they have still not been met. Failure to do so could mean the approval being revoked unless there were extenuating circumstances. Photo: PT

8. Cherry Tree pub
Plans have been submitted to convert the former Cherry Tree on Oundle Road, Woodston into a large care home. Synergy Care Developments and Muller Property Group have submitted a full planning application for an 80-bed care home, with the pub building to be reinstated for residents.
