Parking charges to rise in Peterborough city centre as part of council's medium term financial strategy

Car parking charges are set to rise slightly in most of the car parks in Peterborough city centre from April.

The rises are part of Peterborough City Council’s draft Budget 2026-27 and Medium Term Financial Strategy 2026-2029 and are set to come into effect from April 1, if approved.

The Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority board has agreed that money can be set aside to pay for free parking schemes in Peterborough and parts of Huntingdonshire but specific schemes are yet to be set out.

The proposed new parking charges for each of the city centre car parks is listed below.

New charges: Up to 1 hour £2.10, up to 2 hours £3.10 up to 3 hours £4.10, up to 4 hours £5.20, all day £6.20.
