A house in Fletton High Street, Peterborough, has been taped off and forensic officers are at the scene.
A police spokesman said details of what has happened are still being investigated and told the Peterborough Telegraph: “A male has been taken to hospital following an incident at an address in Peterborough.
“An investigation is underway at the address and at an area close by. At this time there is no reason to believe this is anything other than an isolated incident.”
A man has been taken to hospital by land ambulance but an air ambulance was called to assist.
Police officers were also seen investigating an area near The Fleet centre in Fletton.
