Poetry champion performs
National poetry champion and former care leaver Solomon O.B performed at an event to celebrate Peterborough's young people in care. Looked after children, young people and foster carers came to the Key Theatre to share their experiences and successes and learn about The Adolescent and Children's Trust (TACT), the charity which next month takes over Peterborough City Council's fostering and adoption service.
Solomon said: ”It was so great to have the opportunity to meet Peterborough’s fantastic young people and to tell them about the amazing work of TACT.”
The evening included an awards ceremony with every child and young person receiving a certificate from Councillor Sam Smith, council cabinet member for children’s services.
