A group of keen gardeners have joined together to encourage people to help look after Bretton. Their first project was to brighten up the area in front of the Pyramid Community Centre and its nearby shopping centre.

“I hope local residents enjoy our efforts. It’s been an enjoyable experience and has made a massive improvement to this area,” said Jonathan Buckle, a local resident who worked on the planting scheme.

Jonathan started the project as a member of the Better Bretton group, a community group funded by the Royal Voluntary Service and People’s Health Trust. Better Bretton aim to make positive contributions to the Bretton area so older people in particular, feel part of a great community.
