Peterborough woman seriously injured after incident at major city junction

Emergency services were called to the Rhubarb Bridge junction at 3am today.

A spokesman for Cambridegshire police said: "We were called to Rhubarb Bridge in Peterborough just before 3am today (23 December) with reports of concern for the welfare of a woman.

As a result of the incident the road was closed at the roundabout and Bourges Boulevard. Officers and paramedics attended and the woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The road was re-opened by 7.30am.”
