At about 3pm on Saturday officers in Long Causeway witnessed a one-year-old boy struggling to breath.

The officers drove the child to Peterborough City Hospital on blue lights and called medical staff on route so they could provide treatment as soon as possible.

The child has now gone on to make a full recovery, Cambridgeshire police said.

And to show their gratitude to the officers, the family of the baby dropped in a thank you card and some food items on Monday.
