Peterborough man needs medical help after fire started in city street

A man needed medical treatment after a fire broke out in a Peterborough street

At 5.04pm on Sunday (28) crews from Dogsthorpe Fire Station were called to a fire on Montagu Road in Walton, Peterborough.

Firefighters arrived to find a fire involving fencing and conifers and extinguished it using hose reels. One man required treatment for smoke inhalation and was left in the care of ambulance crews.

The crews returned to their station by 6.15pm.

The cause of the fire was accidental.
