Person taken to hospital after air ambulance lands in Hampton

A person has been taken to hospital after an emergency incident in Hampton today (Friday).

Available information is very limited at this stage, with the East of England Ambulance Service unable to provide many details.

However, a spokeswoman confirmed that the service sent an air ambulance to the scene in Hampton Vale and took a person to Peterborough City Hospital via land ambulance.

She said: “I can confirm that we responded to an emergency call shortly after noon regarding an incident in Hampton Vale, Peterborough.

“We sent two ambulances, two ambulance officer vehicles and an air ambulance. The patient was transferred by land ambulance to Peterborough City Hospital for further care and treatment.”

The Peterborough Telegraph contacted the ambulance service after readers reported seeing an air ambulance landing in Hampton Vale.

The PT asked the ambulance service where in Hampton Vale the incident was and the nature of it, but the spokeswoman was unable to answer those questions.
