Person rescued after two car crash in Peterborough

Firefighters rescued a person after a two car crash in Peterborough at the weekend.

The emergency services were called to Fulbridge Road in Werrington on Saturday evening.

Cambridgeshire police tweeted that the road was closed between Skaters Way and The Green, with the road re-opening in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The Peterborough Telegraph has contacted police several times since Saturday evening for more information but is yet to receive a response.

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said it was called at 7.53pm to the incident, with firefighters from the Dogsthorpe and Stanground stations rescuing one person from one of the vehicles.

It is unknown what condition they were in.

And on Sunday at 10am, crews from Dogsthorpe, Stanground and the Peterborough Volunteer Fire Brigade were called to a crash on the Soke Parkway.

Again, one person was rescued, with Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service saying they were left in the care of the ambulance service.
