Watch as man is arrested and handcuffed after stealing bottles of alcohol from a Peterborough supermarket
A man who stole more than 40 bottles of alcohol in three weeks has been banned from a Peterborough supermarket for two years.
Adam Righalto-Apperley (33) entered Tesco, in Staniland Way, Werrington, Peterborough, on November 12 with Jamie Graham (44) and stole several bottles of spirits.
Righalto-Apperley was arrested and handcuffed by police after leaving the supermarket.
It marked the end of a stealing spree in which he had targeted the supermarket six times, as well as the Co-op, in Ortongate Shopping Centre, Orton Goldhay, Peterborough, and Next, in Brotherhood Retail Park, between October 22 and November 11.

He was arrested by the police’s Spree offender team and charged with the nine thefts and possession of cannabis.
Righalto-Apperley, of no fixed address, admitted the charges at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court and was jailed for 48 weeks and ordered to pay £1,606.20 in compensation at a hearing on November 26.
He was also made the subject of a two-year criminal behaviour order (CBO), banning him from Tesco, in Staniland Way.
Graham, of Mina Close, Stanground, Peterborough, admitted the Tesco theft at Huntingdon Magistrates’ Court on November 15, and was ordered to pay £100 in compensation.
Afterwards, PC Sam Malton, from the Spree offender team, said: “The scale of Righalto-Apperley’s offending has a major impact on the businesses he targets, and I hope this order shows we are working hard to tackle these prolific offenders.
“My team and I encourage businesses impacted by retail crime to continue reporting any offences, regardless of their value, so we can identify those involved and apply for court orders.”
