Tributes paid to 'kind' and 'loving' former Whittlesey resident

Tributes have been paid to a ‘kind’ and ‘loving former Whittlesey resident after he passed away earlier this month.

Louis Emery (26) sadly passed away in his sleep on January.

He was known to many in Whittlesey after spending several years living in the town and working as an NHS administrator.

Louis leaves behind a long-term girlfriend Robyn, parents Julie and Adam as well as siblings Farrah and Eddie.

In paying tribute to her son, his mother Julie said: “Louis was such a kind, funny and loving person. He would do anything to make anyone’s life better. He was a really loving king person.

“He was just really cheerful, happy and kind. That is what everyone would say about him and people loved to be around him. He was funny as well, he had such a dry sense of humour!”

His family have also set up a fundraising page to give Louis the best possible send-off after receiving donations from a large number of friends. Almost £5,000 has been raised so far ahead of his funeral next month.

His family added on the GoFundMe page that: “Losing him has left an unimaginable hole in our hearts that words simply cannot describe.

"His passing was completely unexpected. One day he was here, full of plans, laughter, and love — and the next, our world changed forever. No parent ever imagines having to say goodbye to their child, especially one so young, with so much still to give.

"Any donations will go towards funeral and memorial costs, as well as easing the financial strain as we try to navigate life after such a sudden and traumatic loss. Most importantly, it will allow us to honour him in a way that reflects the loving, vibrant person he was.”
